UM Holdings Foundation is a New Jersey private nongovernmental, nonprofit organization established in 1994. The Foundation’s mission is to support the principles of individual rights (the rights of each person to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness), limited government, and free markets. UM Holdings Foundation supports organizations and initiatives that advocate a society built on capitalism in which profit and production are seen as virtuous and government serves only to protect the rights of the individual and to defend American freedom against any who would violate those rights.

The Foundation is privately funded through donations from UM Holdings Ltd as well as the families of John Aglialoro and Joan Carter, founders of UM Holdings and the UM Holdings Foundation. Decisions regarding charitable contributions are made by the UM Holdings Board of Trustees:

UM Holdings Foundation was established under the New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation Act and determined to be exempt from federal tax under Section 501(c)(3) and a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
